Songs Without Words ReviewThis is an incredible little collection of 24 pieces, with several well-loved, well-known standards including Elgar's Salut d'amour, Kreisler's Liebeslied, Rubinstein's Romance, Dvorák's Valcik -- and several other lesser-known goodies that add great listening interest to this CD. You will return many times to the more obscure pieces just to hear Tenenbaum's brilliant violin interpretations, especially the two pieces by Grigoras Dinicu, that were influenced by Gypsy melodies. Without the less well-known selections this CD would have been just another disc of music you already knew by heart.
