Echoes of the Old World ReviewWhile William Kanengiser has ample opportunity to display his technical expertise with this collection of pieces, he never does so at the expense of the character of a piece or suite. A number of pieces debuted on this recording, and it is obvious why such well known and respected guitar composers as Bogdanvic and Krouse would choose to dedicate their music to Kanengiser. But, it is especially evident in the frequently recorded Koyunbaba that he is a master of bringing forth the appropriate intensity where others have failed.
