Astor Piazzolla Unmixed ReviewThe muse of Astor Piazzolla was so profound that fans may never get a chance to hear every note he recorded, but Unmixed is another step in the direction of completeness.
When I shop for CDs, I always look to see if there is any "new" Piazzolla on the shelf. The last couple times I haven't been disappointed.
Unmixed offers some cuts like "Vuelvo Al Sur" that are familiar to me, but the vast majority of the 14 pieces are arrangements I have not heard before. Several are performed by musicians who were members of APs many musical formations.
I like the entire CD. Since no song list is provided, I will list them. The titles will be largely familiar to AP connoisseurs, but the arrangements should be deliciously new to many of us.
