Live In Chicago ReviewThis is the long anticipated follow-up, live album, from Kenny Wayne Shepherd, after "Ten Days Out, Blues From the Backroads" CD/DVD Combo, from a few years back. The clarity of the sound on this CD, is especially good for a live album. The music is "rich" & "deep", because you get several, legendary, blues musicians, accompaning Kenny Wayne. The roster of blues musicians include: Hubert Sumlin (a living legend), Willie "Big Eyes" Smith, Buddy Flett, Bryan Lee, Chris Layton & Tommy Shannon (of SRV's Double Trouble), Noah Hunt, Riley Osburn, and Scott Nelson.
From the beginning to the end, the album is full of excitement and entergy. The Band is really "into it", and the crowd is definitely loving it. It gives you one of those "almost like being there", feelings.
Featured tracks include "Deja Voodoo", "Blue on Black", and "I'm a King Bee", but all the songs are great. This is definitely album oriented live music. Kenny Wayne Shepherd is one great, electric, blues guitar player. The liner notes include a great introduction by Kenny Wayne, plus there are photos, of the blues musicians performing on this live cd. Plus, you get some background notes, on the featured legendary blues artists in this CD. You will not be disappointed in this live cd for sure. Thanks!!!Live In Chicago Overview
