LYDIAN DREAM ReviewBrian Hoeche has done something in one CD that many romantic artist strive a lifetime to do. He has captured the truley timeless spirit of romance. The Guitar ceases to simply be an instument in the artist hand but is tranformed into a gentle lover. What makes this CD truely timeless is the blend of different mediums and styles of this romanticly seducing interlude. At times it is peaceful and caressing with the soft rythym of the acoustic guitar but then he shares a more passionate and lively experience with pulse raising latin rythyms and the ocassional cry of the electric guitar.
One of my favorite tracks on "Lydian Dream" is number ten, "I Breathe You (song of songs ch7)" Brian seems to have written and recorded the score for this ancient scene. The music parallels the story of King Solomon's rapturing love for his bride. Wow, Brian Hoeche has colorfully painted this classic with such music that could only do it more than justice. This track is what I would call Evening Magic Music. This music will turn any evening into magic!
If you are looking for a passionately romantic experience that will steal your breath and enflame an evening alone with your lover then this is what you've been looking. That is what has made "Lydian Dream" one of my all time favorites and what has made Brian Hoeche, in my opinion to be a musical glutton of romance.
