Lone Official ReviewI've seen these guys a few times in Nashville and they have a sound like no one else. A really good sound, too. They make good use of the soft/loud dynamic tempo changes (think Rodan from Louisville) but add some really jazzy melodic guitar lines that stick in your head all day(think The Sea and Cake). Bobber, Monarchos, and Black Patch Rider are all super catchy, with an especially tight feel. The drummer's got a deft touch on the cymbals and adds some sophistiated fills to liven things up. Although there are some nice touches (pedal steel for example)the only thing the disc lacks is a bit of production polish. The lyrics get a little buried sometimes. But you can hear that these guys have something that I haven't heard anywhere else.
This band has a U.S. release coming out in Fall 2006 on Astralwerks. I've heard the demo and it is just super. All the potential you hear on this album is realized.
My point here is, get a jump start and get this album now before there are no more copies. This is the beginning of something special.Lone Official Overview
