Lonely Traveler ReviewI was lucky enough to be working last night at Rock Valley College when Brett Vogel and his band played. What a great show. I really like this music.Lonely Traveler OverviewBrett Vogel's debut release, Lonely Traveler, combines tasty guitar melodies and catchy lyrics on songs that explore the emotional depths of love as well as the emotional state of the world today. The music will appeal to a mainstream audience, but the music itself has it's own distinct sound. The sound of the record is very original and eclectic: with reggae influences on the first track "Lonely Traveler", Trumpets on "The Sea of Madness", a harmonica on "No Grace in Goodbye's", Spanish Guitar on "Wishing You Were Here", and news footage incorporated into the "The World's on Fire". Vogel has succeeded in creating a truly brilliant and unique debut album.
