Bullitt: New Recordings ReviewIf you are reading this review, then you already know that Bullitt is one of the best "thinking action flicks" there is, and that the jazz soundtrack is perfect, even if you don't like jazz. This CD is great if you found yourself wishing that you could hear more of each song from the soundtrack while watching the film. Now, you may be asking yourself why you should get this particular version of the soundtrack. The answer is that this CD includes nearly double the number of songs as the other versions. There are the songs from the original soundtrack, but then there are also the remixes. These are similar enough to the originals so that you can appreciate all of the positive qualities of the original songs that should go unchanged, but different enough so that you aren't listening to the exact same songs over again. The only problem (and why the CD only receives 4 stars) is the price. The bottom line is if you have the money, this version of the soundtrack is far better than the others. If not, stick with one of the soundtracks that only contains the original songs. And of course, don't speed too fast.Bullitt: New Recordings Overview
