Rapture ReviewThis is probably one of my favorite albums of all time. It never leaves my CD for extended vacation and yet it remains fresh. Mulvey is a great singer songwriter with fantastic guitar skills. So here are some reasons you should buy this CD:
1) the live version of Whole of the Moon at the end is jaw dropping and a good idea of what live Mulvey is like. There's something very "real" about the subway train arriving in the middle.
2) even if you don't like the singer songwriter guys, if you are a guitar player, the guitar instrumental on this album will make you stare at your own hands with disdain and then go play finger exercises for a few hours. jaw-dropping.
3) i can't think of a more beautiful song than "One the way up". (for the young female audience i would add "and it was on Felicity")
4) White boy funk of "If love is not enough" would have been written by Stevie Wonder if he could see and was a white guy from Wisconsin.
5) Aurora Borealis. Archie Bunker experiences spiritual enlightenment or something. Again, amazing guitar work, great characterization in the lyrics.
