Once Upon A Time ReviewThe new release by TinyHuge "Once Upon a Time" is music to be reckoned with. The eleven tracks cover the spectrum from heart felt sentiment to pure driving rock and roll. Rarely does one encounter a collection of songs that is quite so substantial. Each number stands on its own; there is no filler.I get the sense that these boys aren't just grasping for tunes to fill a CD but are drawing from a vast collection of material and ability that stretches back through the years. The record is riddled with subtle niceties that have always been the hallmark of great contemporary music, be it 1961 or 2001. On "Once Upon a Time" I find the simplicity that makes for great rock and roll coupled with the tasteful nuances that,all to seldom, makes rock Art.I could pick my favorites tracks and get particular, but unlike most of the recordings I own and listen to, my favorites on "Once Upon a Time" change from day to day depending on my state of mind. All to often, I Buy a CD and consistently listen to two or maybe three selections skipping all the rest. This collection is different; it is an entirety with each song enhancing and complimenting the others. How long has it been since you discovered a bit of music that seemed to come out of nowhere and make you smile, cry, laugh, and think? The time is now-"Once Upon a Time".Once Upon A Time OverviewThe second CD from Tiny Huge features 11 new original songs, ranging from sweet piano based pop to loud guitar driven alternative rock. Guitarists Bob Enik and Tom Lally play a variety of styles, accenting and complimenting the percussion work of Ed Morrill.
